Tang Chi Wing is a traditional painter in both Chinese and Western styles. Still-life, painting from life and secondary creation are the subjects of his work. There is no fixed media or category of expression in his work which includes pencil sketchs, acrylic painting, Chinese calligraphy, illustration and 3D animation. In his 4 years of university life, he seldom uses himself as the subject. Imitation and beauty are the consistent themes in his work. He struggles with understanding himself and tries to escape unsatisfactory things. Art makes him lost and he feels far from himself. This is the reason that his works do not often have deep meanings. But so far, his only certainty is that he still likes to paint, likes to create, and will continue to explore visual art in the future.
