As a craftswoman and tailor, Shek Wing Ki sculpts functional objects with a designer’s insight in response to both physical needs and expectations of users. Material life in reality and its adoration aspects are her interests. She sees this as a way of art to seek personal spaces in modern life.

Made during the summer Raku Firing Workshop 2017, it is a set of ceramic ware designed for planting. The teapot is for watering, the dumplings are flower pots and the plate underneath contains excessive water. You could also store seeds in the cup and use the chopstick to till soil.
