Jun Hei Ri usually base her work on her personal story, such as issues or thoughts about her and her family. She does not work with a fixed medium as she explores with different aspects and medium in order to express her ideas in a dynamic way. When looking back at works she created, she finds that even if the works express similar ideas, the difference in medium and methodology seems to be able to deepen the meanings. She has a tendency to make artworks that tell stories, as she thinks that if an artwork contains your story, you will treasure it more and treat it as your lover. For example, when you make artwork base on personal issues from a sad incident, you will no longer be stuck in a depressing state. You will be able to overcome it and heal as all your emotions are expressed through your artwork. Moreover, you won’t be ashamed of your past stories anymore. To Jun, art is healing and contains all emotions.
