Wong Kam Fung (Jocelyn) likes making handicrafts as she likes to create something out through her hands. Her passion in making handicrafts began since she was still in primary school. “Time flies when you’re having fun.” For her, “having fun” is making handicrafts. To her, handicraft is not only artwork for display, but something that people can feel, touch or even use. She prefers to make artworks that are smaller in size because of limited space and ease of handling and displaying. Whilst handicraft is the most often form of Jocelyn’s artworks, she also explores other methods to create artwork, such as graphic design. She is also open to trying other new media in the future. Jocelyn’s artworks are mostly related to herself: what she has seen, listened or experienced are some of her artworks’ inspiration. Her life is steady, but it is precisely this simple lifestyle that provided her with the most ideal creative space. It allows her to create fun in her life with her imagination. Jocelyn Wong is also a graphic designer, which likewise inspires her artworks.
Without much thinking, we generally use the terms “good” or “bad” to judge others.
However, what is good? What is bad?
Is there an absolute, a value or principle which may be viewed without relation to other things?
Or, is everything relational?
If that is the case, maybe it’s a matter of finding balance, before a relationship is damaged.
