HUANG Min Zhen

Huang Minzhen is fond of creating artworks mostly inspired by the trivial matters in daily life. Her work has no particular medium but favors images, sound and ceramics. Huang pays attention to the surroundings, with the ability of amplifying those matters and applying her own sentiment, to connect with audiences and feel those trivial existences.

黃民珍,1993年生於廣東,在香港浸會大學就讀。
她喜歡以生活小事作為創作靈感,雖然沒有特定的創作工具或媒介,但偏好於攝影,聲音及陶瓷。她十分留意身邊的事物,喜歡將細小的事情和情感放大,令周邊的人都能感受它們的存在,繼而與它們接軌。

Dunhuang used to be a place for worship and enshrinement, but now it’s just a place for tourists. The nature of Dunhuang no longer exist, it becomes fragments burying under the sand again.

敦煌莫高窟自古便是一個讓人供奉神佛的地方,但如今卻變成了一個為利慾而苟且殘存的遊客區。歷史的色彩被時間洗刷和人為等因素而變得更為黯淡,漸漸被撕裂成為一張張的碎片,再次埋藏於沙地之下。
