The process of creating the work is like playing a geometry game with basic shapes like square, rectangle, triangle and circle. It allows me to try out interesting ideas in my mind and recall childhood memories from those precious days.

Making ceramic mold allows us to recreate a form again and again and experiment more. In this work, I tried to explore the relationship between nature and human by putting two different elements together with molding technique. It is also a process for me to relax and appreciate the beauty of the forms.

When I was doing a research about the use of real animals as artistic material in artist’s work, I was confused by the debates between the animal rights group and the artists. Making this sculpture helped me to clear up my confusion and thoughts on the use of animals in art. The abnormal structure, the texture and the hollow human body parts of the sculpture are a reflection of how uncomfortable my feelings are, while the circle on the floor represents the limited understanding that I have gained on this issue, through reading or being told by others.
