In memory of my grandmother, I created a lantern and mixed with paper cranes. Make a wish that she can rest in peace.

Countless boats of life float in the mother’s womb. Seek the trace of an egg in this boundless ocean. Only one of the boats can fertilize the egg on occasion. Enter the sight of human and this is the miracle of life.

Straw is mankind food supply, but the pollution we have created destroys this valuable resource when our world becomes flourishing. My work reveals this criticism of the relationship between humanity and nature through my observation of the world in which we live. The work is unconventional that mixes industrial products with clay experimentally. It is made up of clay that collected from the local paddy in Yi O, straw and different industrial household cleaning supplies, including gargle, bleach, antiseptic liquid, soap powder and dishwashing liquid. In the process, straw is dipped in the polluted mud of paddy which mixes with those industrial household cleaning supplies respectively that we often use in daily life. The making process likes replanting the rice as a farmer. The high firing resembles cooking the rice thoroughly. After firing, the “rice” is put on the plates or bowls with chopsticks and arranged on the table as a set of dishes.
