The sun was setting behind me as I faced the Baishui River that early summer in Yunnan, China. The Yulong Mountain was covered by a heavy pall of clouds and mist; I felt like I was entering a mysterious and serene world. This painting is my interpretation of the spectacular scenery, which has been lingering in my mind for years.
